They could have tried to shoot them to warn the patrols in the field that some guy had suddenly run out of their fort without first being allowed in. ![]() But I was very disappointed when the bonus objective didn't have any consequences besides raise my synchronization. The winning move here would have been to steal a horse, but hindsight is always twenty twenty, and I'm not even sure there was a horse to be had. Also, fleeing through the hip-deep snow is really torturous. Apparently the cannon holes look out over a steep drop and Haytham simply would not climb over the palisades, so I had to simply run out of the main gate, pursued by redcoats I would have much rather left ignorant of my visit. Haytham infiltrates the fort in time-honored tradition by hiding in a supply wagon, and luckily the innards of the fort are lousy with stealth-enabling shrubbery, and so in short order we are able to overhear that Braddock had refused a truce with the French earlier and will move out in the summer through the Mohawk Valley, steal a map and achieve our bonus objective, sabotaging the Fort's cannons. At the moment it consists of a house in the middle of a palisade in which two cannon placements have been cut. But that's all to the good, because a man bleeding after beating up a bunch of redcoats seems to be pure catnip for Zio, she visibly warms up to Haytham.įort Necessity is a simple square of planks hammered together when Washington needed a bit of cover from the French earlier in the current war. Well, we showed them, even if Haytham did earn himself a little cut on the temple. There must be something in the air over here that breeds contempt for the established mores. A commoner accosting an obvious nobleman? The gallows would have been the least of that guy's worries. I have to say, in the mother country this would never have happened. Haytham first wants Zio to wait outside, but she apparently is known in the tavern, and it actually is Haytham who engenders trouble when he attempts to walk through a door after having gleaned that Braddock is stationed at Fort Necessity: His attempting to leave the tavern is deeply offensive to one of the redcoats, who can't abide the foppish way the man walks and starts a brawl that has Haytham feed all the redcoats their teeth. Luckily there is a tavern nearby where Braddocks redcoats are known to warm up internally, and redcoats and drink of course equal vital information. If Ezio would have been as cavalier about assassinating the Turkish sultan last game, it would have been a much shorter game.įirst our two, ahem, assassins in spe need to find out where their target is. ![]() I would have thought that, Englishman and all, Haytham would be a bit more circumspect in his approach to this. We're talking about killing a British general here. Sure, Haytham replied, let's kill Braddock. Might there ot be something about this that Haytham could do? ![]() As this point her mind was probably was off to the races: Here was a white man who wanted something she possessed: How could this be turned to her advantage? Something came to mind quickly: There were rumours of the British planning an expedition under general Braddock through the Mohawk valley, an expedition that would surely push the Iroqouis out of the valley. ![]() That being out of the way, Haytham shows her the amulet and asks her if she has ever seen the like.
